Sometimes a class comes along that just feels like it was made just for you. This class IS that class for me. As you may know, I am a biomedical engineer by trade, but I also have a strong interest in game and mobile development. I took some cool game design classes and have gone to a bunch of events hosted by USC’s Association for Computing Machinery where they bring...

The best class projects are those that you think about constantly until they’re due, and then keep thinking about long after you turn them in. The final project for my Video Game Production Class was one of those! I took that class last spring, but this morning as I got ready for class, I suddenly found myself coming up with cool ideas for how I could improve my final project!...

I just finished my first completely GUI based video game complete with multiple levels, various characters, and so many cool features! As part of CS200, every two weeks we complete a homework assignment and for the past few weeks I have been working on “A Bird’s Life.” The first homework was a text based game that scrolled sideways and allowed the user to move through the world, avoiding obstacles and trying...

This post is hereafter dedicated towards a great video game (that comes out tomorrow) known as NBA 2K12. For those of you who don’t know, here’s a good analogy — NBA 2K12 : NBA :: Madden : NFL. You can also check out more on 2k here. This year comes a fresh installment to an awesome series. I love playing NBA games as 1) they are shorter than Madden; 2)...

So considering it’s the beginning of the semester and there’s a good 15 weeks or so ahead of me until finals (I think that’s right counting Spring Break?) I thought I might try and give you a glimpse of what the semester ahead should hold for me. Whether or not everything I type here will take place is not 100% but it should give you an accurate glimpse of what...

This week we all as Viterbi Student Ambassadors (VSAs) are writing a themed blog about our social lives outside of the engineering classroom here at USC. As such, I will try my best to provide a scope and context of all the things I am involved in here at USC, whether they be clubs or organizations to just simply hanging out with my friends. So, without further adieu… Freshman Academy...

Yes, it is Tuesday morning. As yes, this means I am officially back to school. My light Mondays prevented me from getting back into the swing of things yesterday, so today I will be re-exposed to all my classes and forced to work yet again. However, as a silver lining, school will be over soon enough and I can just work hard and dominate my classes for the rest of...

So this week after midterms and such was pretty slow and lazy… And thus I managed to play many video games. I just finished Mass Effect 2 in just under 3 days of time, with about 30 hours played. Yes, that means I indeed on average played 10 hours a day on Saturday, Sunday, and Monday and put in the final 45min needed to finish the game a few minutes...

From what I know right now, I did really well and put myself in good position to do well this semester That always makes me happy and is of course good news to tell my parents; whom happened to be down here in LA with me! So Saturday, Feb. 27th is officially my birthday (I...
