Hey everyone! Looking back on my semester, one of my favorite parts was my participation in philanthropies on Fridays. I played beach volleyball, was pied with whip cream, and even distributed books to children. These all supported great causes and were lots of fun! I wanted to share some of those experiences with you.
Entering college, I was told time and time again my first year would fly by. I thought they were all exaggerating. Well, they weren’t. And the scary thing is that sophomore year flies by even faster. I still can’t believe that I am almost halfway done with my time as an undergrad at USC. During that first year, days blurred into weeks and weeks blurred into ¼ of my college career completed. Over these past two years, I’ve learned a lot about myself, mostly through the things I got involved with freshman year.
Hey! It is about that time again when all the high school seniors need to decide which college to attend in the fall. It doesn’t feel too long ago that I was making the same decision. Like everyone else, I was torn between several competitive engineering schools. In the end, I picked USC for a few main reasons. I thought I would share some of those with you! Continue reading
Whenever I mention to people that I am studying engineering, they always seem to comment on the fact that I am a female studying engineering, a traditionally male-dominated field. Surprisingly, this is something I rarely notice in my day-to-day life.
Hi Everyone! When I first decided that I wanted to apply to college as an engineering major, I started to worry about being a woman in such a male-dominated field. When I began attending classes in Viterbi, however, I realized that I was concerned for no reason! I thought I would tell you a little about what it is like being a women in engineering at Viterbi.
With graduation rapidly approaching I’ve been doing a lot of reflecting on my experience at USC, particularly as a woman in engineering. To be honest, I haven’t noticed a difference in my experience compared to my guy friends in engineering or USC in general. While my classes aren’t 50% girls, the ratio is high enough that I don’t even notice it in my classes. I’ve had such an incredible experience at USC, from my classes to doing research to studying abroad, and participating in student orgs, club sports, and greek life.
Hey everyone! I hope you have had enjoyable weeks. I took a week off from blogging to take a trip to Mexico for spring break and had a great time! Now that I’m back in the groove of things, I cannot believe this school year is already coming to an end, and I will be a junior before I know it. It feels like not too long ago that I was choosing which college to go to. Since many of you will be making your college decisions in the next month or so, I thought I would tell you a little bit about why I chose to come to USC.
Hey guys! Hope you are having a good week! This week has been crazy with projects and midterms before we leave for spring break next week (I’m going to Hawaii- so excited!), but this past weekend I had a few opportunities to give back to the community that I wanted to share about!
Hey guys! I hope you enjoyed reading my blog last week about my major. It is finally Friday and a long President’s Day weekend! I look forward to heading to the movies with friends and relaxing on the beach in the next couple of days. Last weekend, my parents came to USC for Pi Beta Phi’s parent events. On Friday, my mom and I went to a beautiful brunch followed by a father-daughter basketball game on Saturday. I thought I would tell you a little about how fun both of these events were! Hey guys! I cannot believe that we are already back at school for the spring semester. Time flew over winter break! Over the course of the several weeks we had off, I took part in a lot of fun activities. Continue reading
