This summer I am very excited to say that I will be studying abroad in Madrid, Spain with the Viterbi Overseas Program! I will spend 7 weeks in this amazing Spanish city taking classes with Viterbi faculty and roughly 30 fellow Viterbi students, including fellow VSA Gavin. I’ve only been overseas once before, and that was a school trip to Southern Spain; I am very excited to take wonderful classes...

I can’t believe how fast this semester has gone by.  It seems like only a few weeks ago I was moving into my new apartment for my RA position.   The beginning of my summer is going to be super busy.  First, after getting approval and making some adjustments to my finals schedule, I’m actually leaving a week early to go to Taiwan for my Engineering iPodia class.  We’ll be in Taiwan for two...

Yesterday, I finished my last class of my undergraduate education. In exactly 2 weeks I will be graduating, with only 4 finals and a handful of projects/papers between me and my bachelors degree. It’s definitely a bittersweet time — I’ve enjoyed my time at USC so much that I’m sad to be leaving, but at the same time I’m excited about where I am headed and I’m ready to move...

Hi Everybody!! Although tomorrow is the last day of classes, I still have a number of things to wrap up before school is over, including 4 large projects and 2 finals!! However, I am kicking off the summer by traveling to Taiwan next saturday for the conclusion of the Viterbi Ipodia class that I’ve been involved in. We’ve been meeting jointly with Peking University in Beijing and the National Taiwan...

I can’t believe it. In two weeks I will officially be a USC alumna! In the midst of finishing up final projects, gearing up for final exams, and polishing my senior design project, I can’t help but get a wee bit emotional about my college life coming to an end!!! I do have to say, though, that despite graduation fast approaching, I am determined to come back to campus and...

With only one week left of classes, summer is just around the corner. Which also means that my time here in California is also coming to an end. Although I’m really sad to leave USC after 4 amazing years here, I’m really looking forward to all the good things yet to come. The day after graduation my family and I will be flying home to Georgia. I’ll have a month...

My older brother is working in San Francisco, so when he came to visit LA for the first time, it had to be perfect! I asked dozens of people about their favorite things to do in LA and put together a full schedule of things to do during his quick stay in LA. Hamilton landed at about 7pm on Friday night and headed straight for Five Guys (Burgers n Fries)....

Like Steve, I had the pleasure of living on the 4th (and best) floor of Birnkrant my freshman year of college (a year after Steve lived there). I got really lucky with the people that I lived with. It seemed like we all connected immediately. I was fortunate enough to get to live with a roommate I already knew. My friend Cynthia and I both went to middle school together,...

One of the things that amazed me most about USC when I came was the willingness of the students to just pack up there things and go home, take a weekend trip to Palm Springs, or fly to an away football game or any other assorted location. Many friends would leave on a Thursday night and take a weekend trip to New York City, Chicago, or even just to Northern...

Although this was my last spring break, it certainly was a wonderful vacation! I headed back to the South and really lived up to all the stereotypes. First stop…Roswell, Georgia! I went home for the first weekend to celebrate my 22nd birthday with my family. My boyfriend even flew in from Chicago and it was great getting to show him around my hometown. We checked out the historic plantations in...
