Somehow this week is my fourth and final undergraduate fall internship week! I swear I was just headed to my very first one with my freshman academy class. Lucky for me, as a senior this week means lots of networking with companies I am familiar with, as well as reflecting on the work that I’ve done in the past.
As I wrote about before, I got to spend my summer at an amazing construction internship with a design/build firm in Wisconsin. And today, I got to spend a few hours discussing that experience with some potential employers at the Viterbi Industry Networking Event. Being able to draw off of my wonderful summer was such a great conversation point, and really helped me connect to the company representatives.
Tomorrow is an all-day event: the Viterbi Career Fair! I’ll get to have more serious conversations with some of the employers I talked to today, and even hold some informal interviews. It’s my favorite event of the year, so I’ve been looking forward to it all semester! It’s always nice to be reminded of how many employers are excited to talk to USC students, and how strong the Trojan Family actually is. I can’t wait to tell you guys all about how it goes, and hopefully sometime soon-ish have a post about where I’ll be in May after I graduate!
