Living in LA has been such a wonderful and unique college experience. Unlike some of my friends from high school who go to universities in rural areas, I get to take advantage of the benefits of living in a large urban city. Add the variety of restaurants, cultural events, museums, concerts, etc. with gorgeous weather and beaches, and you have one perfect combination.
Here are some of my favorite things about LA…
Living in a big city means you get to cheer for multiple teams! In addition to being an avid Trojan football fan, I’ve attended USC volleyball and basket games, and gone off campus to Dodgers, Angels, and Clippers games.
I love attending concerts, and I’m lucky that LA is a stop on almost every concert tour! Aside from the concerts I’ve seen for FREE on campus (sponsored by USC’s programming board), I’ve seen Andrew Bird, John Mayer, Temper Trap, Girl Talk, Hillsong United, just to name a few. I’m SO excited for this Friday, when I’ll be attending Mumford and Sons and Edward Sharpe with friends!
The beach is always a relaxing study break, and I’m lucky that I get to enjoy the beaches year round. Even on a cool, windy day, walking on the pier is always so much fun!
LA has so much more to offer! From Disneyland to great restaurants, there’s always something fun to do on the weekend!
