Spotlight on Research Labs within Viterbi
Tsunami Research Center: The TRC is actively involved with all aspects of tsunami research; inundation field surveys, numerical and analytical modeling, and hazard assessment, mitigation and planning. The TRC has developed the tsunami inundation maps for California and the tsunami code MOST, now used by NOAA.
Dryden Wind Tunnel : The University of Southern California Dryden Wind Tunnel Research Group focuses on aerodynamics in the low Reynolds Number regime, biofluid mechanics, and the application of these foci for new aircraft design.
Robotic Embedded Systems Lab: The research mission of RESL is to develop tools and techniques to design and understand large-scale, distributed, robotic systems. Such systems are aggregates of mobile robots and unattended sensors programmed to work together as teams with potential applications in urban security, military reconnaissance, and environmental monitoring.
