One of the most important things about going to a new place is finding the best food. Luckily, USC is packed with many great places with different cuisines and prices so that every student can find what they like best within an affordable budget! Below are some of the most popular dining choices at USC and what they have to offer. Some students and almost all freshmen have a meal plan for the dining halls, so this is a very popular choice. One swipe from your meal plan presents you numerous options and unlimited food. At USC there are three dining halls which all include most of the same selection like a salad bar, sandwich bar, and a hot food section. However, each dining hall also has its own strengths.
- Everybody’s Kitchen (EVK): Located near McCarthy quad and the main hub of campus, EVK stands out with a grill in the outdoor eating area. The grill serves delicious hamburgers, hot dogs, turkey burgers, veggie burgers and even sometimes salmon!
- Parkside: Located near the engineering buildings, Parkside’s strength comes from having the most options. Every day there are multiple stations for hot food with completely different options, so it is always easy to find what you like best.
- Café 84: Located near the Lyon Center, Café 84 is considered the healthiest dining hall since people eat here before or after they work out. Café 84 has a crepe station, a wok bar, and daily smoothies. Plus, Café 84 is the only dining hall to have real ice cream – the other two only have soft-serve!
