Winter Break in Florida

Luckily, this Winter Break I escaped the cold. Really my whole life I’ve escaped the cold/snow growing up in Florida, and going to college in Southern California. As the second week of school rolls by, I’m excited for what’s in store in my classes.

This is the first semester where all of my classes (except for the soccer one I’m taking for fun) are directly related to my major. These classes include Geology Engineering, an Architecture Studio, and Intro to Structural Design. I can already feel this Spring semester is going to be totally different from the fall one. Not only because most of my classes are engineering courses, but also because I don’t have to worry about looking for summer internships as I’ve already accepted on offer! This will allow me to really focus in on my classes which I’m happy about.

Since it is a new year, I have a couple of new years resolutions for this semester. Most of them revolve around self-care, eating healthier and doing more exercise. Living in the USCVillage, I’m super close to the gym and even have a yoga studio in the same building as my dorm. My goal is to actually take advantage of how close these things are and try to intentionally exercise at least 3 times a week. It’s going to be fun seeing how long this new year motivation lasts!
